Archiving and Roll back

FarCry has an archive and retrival service that allows you to roll back to earlier versions of a content item. Versioning must be turned on for the content type in question.

Note all FarCry core content types have versioning enabled. You can tell that versioning is turned on if you have to create a draft when you attempt to modify an approved content item.

Every time you approve a content item, the previous version of that content is archived.

You can roll back to a previous version of the content item at any time. Go to the overview page of the item in question. Select the "Show Archive" link from the options menu.

Preview

Preview will show the content of the previous edition of the content, as long as the original template is in place.

Rollback

Rollback will firstly archive the current live content item and replace it with the selected version of the content item from the archive.

Q. What can I do if I rollback to the wrong version?

As soon as you "rollback" FarCry archives the current live object. If you make a mistake you can simply roll back to the previous live version - it will now have an archive of its own at the top of the list.
